Wendy Everett Obituary

Wendy Sue Everett, 59, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 24, 2021. She was born on June 6, 1962, in Dallas, Texas to the late Gene Nelson and Daisy (Bloom) Nelson. Wendy was of the Christian faith and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Batesville, AR. Her faith was everything to her and she spent a lot of time reading her Bible and praying. When she was able to go, she enjoyed going to church, especially attending the women’s devotional. Wendy was the most selfless person. Above all else, she was so proud of her daughters and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them every chance she could. Wendy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose legacy will be carried on by those that love her.

Wendy is survived by her two daughters, Kelli Sherrill of Salado and Jennifer Ford (Gary) of Newark; five grandchildren, Tanner Sherrill, Evan Shaw, Allie Shaw, Lila Sherrill, and Lana Sherrill; and sister, Pam Massie (Paul) of Wills Point, Texas. She is preceded by her parents, Gene and Daisy Nelson.

Services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Hope Lutheran Church in Batesville, AR with Visitation from 1-2 PM and the Funeral Service at 2PM. Interment with follow at Sulphur Rock Cemetery. Pastors Bradley Heinecke and Doug Punke will be officiating. Pallbearers include Tanner Sherrill, Evan Shaw, Harold Smart, JD Smart, Billy Littleton, and Hal Hooper.
