Veleta England Obituary

Veleta Faye (Wallace) England, 90, of Batesville, died on Friday, Feb 9, 2024. She was born on June 10, 1933, in Cushman, AR, to the late James Wallace and Nellie (Vickery) Wallace. Faye was of the Christian faith and worshiped the Lord at New Life Pentecostal Church in Magness. Faye was a dedicated and hard worker. She served as a 911 emergency dispatcher for 28 years, working her way up to a supervisor role. Faye loved to fish, go antiquing, and hit all the yard sales looking for bargains. But most of all, Faye loved her family. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to know and love her. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, faith, and family values.

Faye is reunited in Heaven with both of her parents; her husband of more than 68 years, Charles Gene England; her two sons, Danny Gene England and Ronnie Edward England; her two sisters, Ruby Anderson and Edith Kious; and her brother, Robert Wallace. She is survived by her two sons, Darrell England (Kay) and Timothy England; her daughter, Linda Mead (Victor); her 8 grandchildren, Pamela McCoy, Latricia Reed, Kevin England, Stacey Maple, Hannah England, Danny Joe England, Mandy Baker, and Sandra England; 9 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
