Terry Lynn Yost, Sr. passed away in Batesville, Arkansas on April 16th, 2021 at the age of 79.
Terry is predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Irene Altom Yost of Batesville.
Terry is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Shirley Ann Lambert Yost. They were married in Tupelo, Mississippi on October 4th, 1970.
Terry is lovingly remembered by his sister Linda Yost-McNeil; his two daughters Sherlett Myers and husband Ed of Fort Smith, and Jami McFeeters of Bentonville; son Terry Yost, Jr and wife Casie of Rogers; six grandchildren Eddie Myers, Andrew Myers, Taylor McFeeters, Jason McFeeters, Calib McFeeters, and Jaime Self; and three great-grandchildren, Adison McFeeters, Zaylee Dover and Emma McFeeters.
Terry was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on October 4th, 1941. He graduated from Batesville High School in 1959 and went on to earn his Associates Degree from Arkansas State University. Terry served in the Arkansas National Guard and, over the years, worked for Batesville Manufacturing, Waukesha Cutting Tools in Siloam Springs, Daisy Manufacturing in Rogers, and a business owner for over 20 years of Yost Appraisal Services in Rogers. Among other services in the community, Terry was a trained Stephen Minister, as well as, a member of Central United Methodist Church, Rogers, Arkansas.
Terry enjoyed camping, vacations in Mazatlan, Mexico, and following all Arkansas Razorback sports. His happiest times were spent with his family at Beaver Lake. Terry loved fishing, boating, cooking out, and relaxing on a raft.
Terry’s celebration of life and interment will be held at Central United Methodist Church, 2535 West New Hope Road, in Rogers, Arkansas on Saturday, April 24th at 4:00pm with Dawn Spragg officiating; COVID restrictions will be followed.
