Roy Michael Franks 73, of Batesville, went on to be with the Lord. He was born on Sept. 13, 1944, at Batesville, Ar. to Roy and Nadine (Jones) Franks. He was a man of faith and attended the Cushman Assembly of God. He was a veteran in the United States Army. Early in his career he was a police officer for the city of Batesville. Later he decided truck driving was best for him. He loved to hunt, fish, old westerns, family, but most of all his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Josh Garrison; Survivors include wife, Carol Franks; son, Wilford Roy Franks (Bear) (Treasa); daughter, Michelle Malloy (Michael); brothers, Winfred Franks, Jimmy Franks; sisters, Judy Holland, Clarice Vickers; grandchildren, Sheina Tilley, Bodee Crock, Kelsey Crock, Kari Lewis, Lynette Hanson, Amber Gann; great grandchildren, 9. There will be a celebration of life Sat. Sept. 8, 2018, at 2 p.m. The celebration will be held at the Cushman Assembly of God.
