Ronnie "Tom" Wayne Burns

Ronnie "Tom" Wayne Burns, 67, passed away on October 31, 2023. He was born on May 15, 1956, in Cushman, Arkansas, to Lloyd and Ravi Burns.

Tom was kind, funny, and outgoing. He took everyone under his wing and was a father figure to many people. Tom never met a stranger and was loved by all who met him. He was also a hard worker and jack-of-all-trades. He loved any work he could do with his own hands, like tree trimming or building chicken houses. Tom also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd H. Burns and Ravi (White) Burns; son, Jonnie Dunegan; sisters, Phyllis Davis and Carol Anderson; brothers, Danny Burns, Llyod Burns, and Roger Burns; niece, Marylinn Baker; and nephew, Joseph Burns. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Burns of Ash Flat, Arkansas; daughter, Vanessa Burns of Cord, Arkansas; brother, J.R. Burns of Cushman, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jonnie Dunegan Jr., Shawn Dunegan, Cassie Carroll, Carson Wine, Graycilynn Wine, and Braelynn Wine; great-grandchildren, Matthew Carroll, James Carroll, Anthony Carroll, Aliyah Carroll, Bradley Dunegan, Mason Dunegan, and Jason Dunegan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A graveside service, officiated by Shawn Barnes, will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 2 p.m.
