Noel Enward Gilbert

Noel Enward Gilbert, 80, passed away on October 1, 2020. He was born on January 20, 1940, in Pleasant Plains, AR.

Noel was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church since 1953. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and working with horses. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Noel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Golden and Josephine Gilbert; sister, Inez McDougal-Reeves; and brothers, Dane Gilbert and Nuel Gilbert. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Laverne Gilbert; son, Russell Gilbert (Susan); daughter, Helen Huskey (Bill); brothers, Doyle Gilbert and Roland Gilbert; grandchildren, Sean Gilbert, Matthew Norris (Nicole), and Shelbi Gilbert; step-grandchildren, Cody Willard, Chelsea Ronning (Patrick), Courtney Willard, and Casey Willard; and great-grandchildren, Bo Gilbert, Hayes Norris, Olivia Gilbert, Gabe Willard, and Jayden Ronning.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Willis Funeral Service from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A funeral service, officiated by Daryl Sellers and Ron Fortson, will be held at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, October 5, 2020, at 2 p.m. COVID precautions will be in place, and a mask must be worn.
