Kenneth Wane Frazier

August 23, 1960 ~ October 5, 2020 (age 60)

Obituary

Kenneth Wane Frazier, 60, of Mount Pleasant, AR, was called to his heavenly home on Monday, October 5, 2020. Kenneth was born in Batesville, AR, on August 23, 1960. He was raised in Guion, AR on the banks of the White River. Hunting, and especially fishing, was woven into his way of life from the very beginning. He knew every nook, cranny, snag, and “honey hole” of the river from Batesville to Calico Rock.

Kenneth was the definition of a hardworking man. There was time for play, but providing for his family always came first. Kenneth worked several jobs in pursuit of this goal. In almost every job he worked, he drove a truck, and he was one of the best. That was what he loved, that is what he did, and that provided for his family most of his life. Kenneth enjoyed many side projects, especially buying and selling goods at the auction, and he was very fond of the friends he made at auctions throughout the years.

Kenneth and his wife Phyllis enjoyed life in so many ways together: traveling to Branson MO, Gatlinburg TN, and visiting with cousins and friends, but Kenneth’s pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. Love was thicker than blood for Kenneth, and nothing made him more happy or proud than his children and grandchildren. He and Phyllis had many good times, but the best times were when the family was all together. Those were the times when he could see and feel the fruits of his labor.

The greatest comfort to the family at this time is that Kenneth was a man of faith, and because of that, he is in the presence of Jesus Christ today and reunited with his son Jason Wayne Frazier. He so longed to see Jason again, and today they celebrate together in glory. Kenneth is also preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Ida Mae Frazier.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Phyllis; they put up with each other for over 30 years. His children, Laura (Michael) Watt and Larron McClure; his sister, Barbara Gay; his brother, Jerry Frazier; his uncle, Bernard (Runt) Frazier; his precious grandchildren, SPC A.J. (Kaylee) Marlin, U.S. Army, Cody Marlin, Austin (Haley) Watt, Aubrey Watt, and Joshua Shipman; cousins, Bob (Nancy) Frazier and countless others; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Kenneth and his family are so very grateful for the people that Kenneth worked with and for over the years. Especially the past five years for Gary Cooper and Independence County.

Pallbearers are Larron McClure, A.J. Marlin, Cody Marlin, Michael Watt, Larry Jones, and Joshua Shipman. Honorary Pallbearers are Austin Watt, Aubrey Watt, Gary Cooper, Tim Platt, and Duane Blankenship.
