Obituary

Kayla Shannon Nichelle Lee, of Cushman, was born May 10, 1993, in Newport, AR, to Ivan Heath Lee and Jamie Lee (Clawson) Tucker. Kayla’s journey ended on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the age of 29 years, 4 months, and 3 days. Kayla graduated from Batesville High School in the class of 2011. Kayla was known to many by her nickname, “Dixie”. Staying true to her southern heritage, she was a cowgirl at heart. She absolutely loved rodeos, especially bull riding and anything to do with horses. She enjoyed arts and crafts, hunting, fishing, and camping. After high school, Kayla joined the circus. She was so very proud of her life as a “carnie”. Kayla was the type of person that would come to the rescue of anyone in need. She served as a volunteer firefighter on the Cushman (North Side) Volunteer Fire Department. She was kind, generous, and fearless. Her heart was bigger than herself. Kayla will forever be loved and deeply missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.

Kayla is survived by both of her parents, Jamie Tucker and Heath Lee; her step mother, Crystal Lee; her son, Carsyn Wade; her two daughters, Charli Athena Gene and Alyvia Rose; her 4 brothers, Ian Slaughter, Joseph Slaughter, Brylan Lee, and Hunter Lee; her 3 sisters, Hope Lovell, Arianna Bailey, and Faith Black; her grandmother, Jeanne J. Carlile (Jack); her grandmother Brenda Neal; her great grandmother, Agnes Lindsey; her step grandmother, Sarah Rook; her 3 uncles, Mitchell Duncan, Adam Lee, and Brandon Lee; her 3 aunts, Laurie Haas, Cherie Deal, and Carrie Stawar; and a host of extended family and friends. Kayla is preceded in death by her grandfather, Gene Smith, and her grandfather, Ronald Lee.
