John Maupin Obituary
John Thomas Maupin, 52, of Cave City passed away Wednesday, January 21,2015 in Little Rock. He was born October 23, 1962 in Raleigh, NC to Leroy Maupin, Sr. and Ruby Morrow Maupin. He was a member of Powell's Chapel United Methodist Church, loved music, helping people and playing with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Maupin of Cave City; one brother, Leroy Maupin and his wife, Annetta, of Cave City; one step-brother, Joe Maupin of CO; one sister, Lyda Jones of Cave City; one step-sister, Fran Dell of AZ; two nieces, Lyda Turner and Stephanie Wagoner and her husband, Kirk; and one nephew, Tristen Jones.
He is preceded in death by his father; one sister, Sharon Teressa Maupin; one step-sister, Lonnie Maupin; his maternal grandparents, Fred and Pauline Morrow; and his paternal grandparents, Clarence King and Lyda Maupin.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Brett Morris officiating. There will be a private burial at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Service of Batesville.
