Jack Douglas Jackson

Jack Douglas Jackson, 83, passed away on October 15, 2020. He was born on, January 20, 1937, in Burkburnett, Texas.

Jack served seven years in the Navy during the 1960s. He took early retirement but reentered the work force part time as a greeter at the Batesville Walmart for 13 years.

Jack was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Jackson; his parents, Jewel Douglas Jackson and Virginia Mae (Stalkup) Jackson; and sister, Peggy Bates of Texas.

He is survived by his step daughter, Sonja Stephens (Tom) of Pleasant Plains; step son, Timothy Smith (Debra) of Houston, Texas; sister, Ellen Overstreet of Waco, Texas; as well as, three step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, twelve nephews and nieces.

A graveside memorial service, officiated by Matt Wann, will be held at Reeves Pinegrove Cemetery in Melbourne, AR on Friday, October 30, 2020, at 1 p.m. All CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 will be in place, and a mask must be worn.
