Daniel Moody Obituary

Daniel Wayne Moody, 52, died Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Batesville, AR. Daniel was born November 16, 1968 in Little Rock, AR. Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing, (especially fishing for catfish), and watching football, cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Most of all though, Daniel loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Daniel was born deaf. Instead of complaining about his situation or giving in to despair, he became a champion of his limitations and turned what others would call a disability into a life-long passion. It was at the Arkansas School for the Deaf that he met his loving wife, Michelle. Daniel would later become a mentor to others who were deaf, teaching bible study classes, and even streaming Vlog’s where he would teach, give his testimony, and inspire others to live their life to the fullest, no matter what your limitations may be. Daniel’s attitude of perseverance and his heart for serving others and living life with joy is a lasting legacy that he leaves to those that knew him and loved him so dearly.

Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents: Vernon and Bernice Smith on his mother’s side; and Pearl and Rose Moody on his father’s side; his sister, Amy Riggins; his uncle, Wesley Smith; and his aunt, Emma Collatt. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle (Harrison) Moody; his father, Wayne Moody (Mara); his mother, Janet Willis; two sons, Patrick Moody (Caryn) and Preston Moody; two brothers, David Moody and Sean George; two sisters, Danna Willis Strain and Amber George-Carroll; and his beloved grandchildren:  Daniel Lee Moody, Maddison Nova Moody, and another grandson on the way, Hudson Wayne Moody.
