Bobby Ray Reeves

Bobby Ray Reeves, 74, passed away surrounded by his family, on January 30, 2024, in Batesville, AR. He was born on April 30, 1949, in Batesville, AR, to the late Theodore Reeves and Audrey (Nicholson) Reeves. Bobby was a truck driver for fifty-eight years and taught his grandkids how to drive an eighteen-wheeler. He was also a hog farmer and raised Blue Heelers. Bobby enjoyed riding four-wheelers, picking up cans, and loved dancing and music. He spent a lot of his time spending time with his grandkids and running from Mrs. Liz’s headlocks. Bobby was the greatest daddy and grandpa his family could have ever asked for. He was also the best son to his parents as well, even checking on their house after they passed away. Bobby was always there for his family, no matter what time of day or night. Above all else, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, son, and friend to all those blessed to know him.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 46 years, Liz Reeves; sons, Tony Reeves (Tracy), Randy Huckabee (Sonia), Daniel Huckabee (Dana), and Greg Huckabee (Rhonda); daughters, Tammy Anthony (Tracy), Susan Beard, and Lisa Bass (Gerald); twenty-six grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Ollie Stark; sisters, Brona Hutchen, Diane Reeves, and Janice Stone; brother, Jim Jackson; great-granddaughter, Brianna Brister; and best friend, Teddy Stone.

A Visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 6 PM until 8 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Brother Chris Garrett, will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church starting at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Floral, AR. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Bryson Huckabee, Tyler Huckabee, Donovan Smith, Shannon Brister, Ronnie Brister II, and Evyn Huckabee. Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Huckabee, Brett Beshears, Tracy Anthony, Bryce Hoofman, and Austin Mathis.
