Betty Ruth Reeves

Betty Ruth (Evans-Goodman) Reeves, 79, of Batesville, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018. She was born August 25, 1939 in Ringgold, Georgia, daughter to Wayman and Ellen Ruth (Wade) Evans. Betty was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed needle work,gardening,crocheting, and the beauty of a humming bird. Say the word "bingo" and see her eyes light up. Betty will be missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Nelsie Dean Goodman; son, Mitchell Dean Goodman; three brothers, Dave, Ray, and Bill Evans; grandson,Jeremy Pomrankey; granddaughter, Jennifer Goodman. Betty is survived by three children; Wanda Bingham and husband John; Ellis Goodman and wife Janie, and Cindy Matthews and husband Mark; 7 grandchildren, Shelly Phifer and husband Mark, Mandy Tarre and husband Patrick, Steven Bowen, Melanie Mullins and husband Daniel, Ashley Rabun and husband Daniel, Haley Salter and husband Josh, and Adam Goodman; 8 great- grandchildren, Chase Brooks, Laken Bowen, Adeline Sutterfield, Jaymas Mullins, Bently, Bryson, Bristyn, and Blayne Salter; her special friend and companion Bill Estes and 4 siblings, Jim Evans (Helen), John Evans, Linda Candler (Alfred), Mary Alery (Bill). Visitation will be Thur. Oct. 25, 2018 5-7 p.m. at Willis Funeral Service. Funeral service will be at Hutchinson Church of Christ Fri. Oct. 26, 2018 10 a.m. with Craig Wilson and Patterson Morgan officiating. Interment Palestine Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Service.
