Bernadine Lanell Weis, 90, of Bethesda passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Batesville. She was born July 25, 1924 in Bethesda to Joseph Henry Terrell and Happel Brooks Terrell. She worked as an EMT for the Independence County Ambulance Service and was of the Catholic faith. Bernadine at an early age worked as a sheet metal fabricator on planes while the men served during WWII. She also was first runner up in the first White River Water Carnival Pageant.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lou Duncan and her husband, Roy, of Bethesda; two brothers, Happel Terrell of Madison, AL and Jerry Terrell of Mobile, AL and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bernadine was lovingly cared for by Nancy Cossey, Carrill Konkler, Jaunita Terrell and Roy Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty nine years, Arvid "Obbie" Weis; one son, Wayne Weis and four brothers, Jack Terrell, Troy Terrell, Kae Terrell and Robert Terrell.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in the Campground Cemetery at Bethesda with Rev. Dhanraj Narla officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Konkler, Andy Konkler, Chris Konkler, A.J. Konkler, Bobby Terrell, Dakotah Franks, Norman Terrell, Mike Terrell, Dalton Franks, Shane Woods, Dr. Robert Baker, Dr. Margaret Kuykendall and Phil Weygandt
Visitation is 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, December 29, 2014 with a Rosary at 7 P.M.
