Annie Beatrice "Dixon" Gage, 73, passed away on February 20, 2021. She was born in Elaine, Arkansas on August 13, 1947, to the late Sam and Zella “Brown” Dixon. Annie’s true character was shown through her heart by the way that she loved. She befriended everyone she met and was a caring mother, friend, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Though she went home to be with the Lord, her memory will forever be cherished by her loved ones.
Annie is survived by her daughters, Sharon Henman (Gregory), Martha Billingsley, and Gwendolin Lamar; son, Melvin Sledge; brothers, Sam Dixon Jr (Debaroh), Morris Dixon, Edward Dixon, Jim Dixon (Virginia), Troy Dixon (Denita), Clyde Dixon, and David Dixon White; sisters, Sarah Ford (Roy), Willie Walker, Brenda Dixon, and Cynthia Dixon Frieson; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; specials friends, Claud Hopskin, Janice Williams, Arlene Batemon; special sisters, Tammy Harris, Virginia Summerland, and Patricia Evans; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Zella Dixon; sisters, Lula Vance and Dorothy Taylor; brother, Crafton Dixon; daughter, Joyce Owens; and grandson, Calyum Campell.
Pallbearers are Dustin Billingsley, Marquell Billingsley, Marquise Sledge, Lloyd Speed, Tim Owens, Josh Morrison, Gregory Henman, Xavier Campell, Tevin Sledge, and Michael Billingsley. Honorary Pallbearers include Edward Dixon, Troy Dixon, Jim Dixon, Michael Holder, and Christopher O’Neal.
A visitation for Annie will be held at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Friday, March 5th from 5-8 PM. CDC precautions will be in place and a mask must be worn. The funeral service will be held the following Saturday, March 6th at 1 PM at the Believers Community Church followed by an interment to Maxwell Cemetery.
