William "Bill" Eugene Stewart, 80, of Batesville, AR, died on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Bill was born May 21, 1942, in Clinton, MO, to the late Samuel Lee Stewart and Margaret Jane (Robinson) Stewart. Bill served his country honorably in the United States Navy. After retiring from Eastman Chemical Company, he enjoyed restoring old cars in his spare time, especially "Model A" and "Model T" cars. Bill was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 55 years, Willene (Pierce) Stewart, of the home; his daughter, B.J. Smith (Brian) of Oxford, AR; his brother, Samuel Earl Stewart of Ontario, CA; his sister, Viola Bailey, of Clinton, MO; 4 grandchildren, Jason Erwin of Texarkana, TX, Mickey Erwin, of Arizona, Emily Smith, of Melbourne, AR, and Benjamin Levi Smith, of the home; one great-grandchild, Sawyer Kate Smith; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, 6 sisters, and one brother.

Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. There will be a graveside service, officiated by Bro. Bob Womack, on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill, AR, at 2 PM. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jason Erwin, Mickey Erwin, Brian Smith, Skipper Buckley, Everett Cooper, and Lynn Hightower.
