William Lee Reynolds, age 84, passed away on June 10, 2026, at Mountain Meadows Nursing Home. He was born on May 26, 1942, to James and Nettie Reynolds.
William was called Bill by everyone. He loved fishing, camping, watching westerns, and loved the show MASH. He was also known for giving nicknames to many of his nieces and nephews. He also said witty sayings like, “If a fish could bite, he is big enough to eat” or “If it had a head and a tail, it was big enough to keep.”
Bill served in the army for four years. He was stationed in Korea for over a year, came home, married his wife, Pat, and finished his career of service at Fort Benning, Georgia. He and Pat lived most of their life in the Desha area. They both were members of Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Bill worked at Banquet Foods and retired from the Independence County Sheriff’s Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nettie; three sisters, Nina, Hazel, and Peggy; and one son, Kevin. He is survived by his wife, Pat; grandson, Bo (Mackenzie); three great-grandsons, Ty, Lane, and Will; and two sisters, Margie and Joann.
Memorial services will be held at Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church on June 15th at 10 am, with Bro. Brian Garrett officiating.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to all who helped at the nursing home, family friends, and church family for their kindness and prayers.
Donations or memorials can be made to Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church (P.O. Box 5, Locust Grove, AR 72550).
