William Altwies Sr., 78, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016. He was born in Aurora, Illinois to Marian (Albright) Heft and Harvey Altwies. He was a Navy veteran and served on the U.S.S. Harwood. He later worked as a diesel mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Bonnie (Deaton) Altwies, two step children, Dewayne Mason (Pam) and Marlo Dotson (Lewis), three sons William Jr., Harvey, and Jack Altwies of Wisconsin, four daughters Connie Breton and Holly Kernan of Wisconsin, and Alice Fallon and Nadene Serano of Philadelphia, PA. He also leaves behind lots of special grandkids and great grandkids. He was loved by all who knew him and he loved his fur babies Ellie, Sadie, and Sissy. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
