Wanda Jean Yates, 71, of Batesville went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2018. She was born October 27, 1946 to Denzil Yates and Juanita Thomas. She attended Arkansas College and worked in the sales and clerical fields. Wanda loved reading, listening to music and she loved animals. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents John and Lois Thomas, Guy Yates and Emma Yates. She is survived by one brother, Melvin (Gaye) Yates, two nephews Stephen (Tanya) Yates of Mtn. Home, and John Douglas (Teresa) Yates of Batesville, two great-nieces Kelli Yates and Kassidy Yates of Batesville, two great-nephews Jackson Yates and Brayden Yates of Mtn. Home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 7 at the West Baptist Church at 2:00.
