Walter Terrell Wood, 82, passed away on September 28, 2020. He was born in Batesville on July 1, 1938, to Asa and Ella Wood. Walter is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Wood; son, Christopher Ray Wood; second wife, Helen Sharp; brothers, Lonnie, Kenneth, and Cecil Wood; and sisters, Myrtle Wood, Lucille Swafford, and Mary McClurg. He is survived by his son, William, and his wife Tina Wood; daughter, Kristi Benson Wingo; brothers, Harry and his wife Carol Wood, Thurman and his wife Deborah Wood, and Earl and his wife Lisa Wood; as well as many grandkids, nieces, and nephews. Walter was a caring man that loved western movies, finding gems at flea markets, and most importantly he loved spending time with his family and friends. Walter was a loving son, father, and friend whose memory will be cherished by the people who love him.

A service will be held Saturday, November 7th at the East Side Pentecostal Church at 2 PM followed by an intermit to Pleasant Valley Cemetery with Brother Jack McCarroll officiating.
