Walter Ray Hicks, 77, passed away on January 22, 2021. He was born in Kaiser, Missouri on August 15, 1943, to Ray Jefferson and Bea (Swope) Hicks.

Walter was a happy man that always liked joking around. He enjoyed anything that involved cars, whether it was working on them or selling them they were one of his biggest passions. Walter also loved watching races, but most of all he loved his family. Walter was a loving husband, son, father, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of twenty-two years, Ada Frances Hicks; parents, Ray Jefferson and Bea (Swope) Hicks; and sister, Ruth Hicks. He is survived by his son, Ernest Ray Hicks; step-son, Ajay Treat; three stepdaughters, Veronica (Billy) White, Ellie (Duane) Allen, and Sheila (Mike) Jhonson; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; as well as many beloved friends.

Pallbearers are Justin Younger, Ricky Younger, Bill White, Duane Allen and Dakota Treat. Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons.

A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 10 AM.
