Pastor Victor Gaylon England, a devoted servant of God, loving father and grandfather, and faithful shepherd, departed this life on September 18, 2026, at the age of 91. After a life richly blessed with family, faith, and an extraordinary 70 years in ministry, Pastor England leaves behind a spiritual legacy that will continue to live through the many lives he touched.

Victor Gaylon England was born on March 2, 1935, in Menard, Arkansas, to the late Jessie England and Essie Bone England. From humble beginnings, he learned the importance of hard work, perseverance, family, and faith—values that remained at the foundation of his life.

Pastor England worked hard and spent many years as a farmer and sharecropper. Working the land was a part of his life, and he carried a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, music, and simply being outside, enjoying God’s creation. Among his greatest joys was spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly.

Above all else, Pastor England was a God-fearing man who loved the Lord wholeheartedly. His faith was not simply something he professed—it was the foundation upon which he built his life. He loved going to church, loved praying, and had a deep knowledge of and love for the Word of God. Those who knew him could often hear him quoting Scripture with ease, drawing from the Word he had treasured in his heart throughout his life.

For an extraordinary 70 years, Pastor England faithfully served in ministry, dedicating the greater part of his life to preaching and sharing the Word of God. His ministry was more than a title or position; it was a calling and a lifelong commitment. Through the years, he proclaimed the Gospel, prayed with and for others, offered words of encouragement, and remained steadfast in his service to the Lord.

As pastor of Jesus is the Way Church, Pastor England continued his legacy of faithful service, leading with a heart devoted to God and His people. Seventy years in ministry represents countless sermons preached, prayers offered, lives touched, and seeds of faith planted. His influence reached far beyond the walls of the church and into the lives of his family, congregation, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Pastor England was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret England; his parents, Jessie and Essie England; two brothers, Eugene England and John England; and two sisters, Colline Scoggins and Joy Boque.

He leaves to cherish his memory his six children, Gayla Ann Walker (Arthur), Victor Joel England, Samuel Gaylon England, Rebecca Faith Thrasher (Tim), Rachel Leah Ciamaricone (Mikeal), and Benjamin Joseph England; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with his church family and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

After 91 years of life and 70 years devoted to ministry, Pastor Victor Gaylon England leaves behind far more than memories. He leaves a legacy of faith, prayer, perseverance, hard work, devotion to family, and unwavering love for God. The Scriptures he quoted, the prayers he prayed, the Gospel he preached, and the example he set will continue to speak through generations to come.

Though his earthly voice has grown silent, his testimony remains. His family and all who loved him can find comfort in knowing that Pastor England spent his life serving the God in whom he placed his faith and sharing that faith with others.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Jesus is the Way Church, with Reverend Dub Holt officiating. Interment will follow at Egner Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Christian England, Brandon Champion, Paul McKay, Jonathan Paul, James Kisselburg, and Chris Bogue. Aaron Bogue and Richard Combs will serve as honorary pallbearers.
