Vernie Marie (Herndon) Graveline, 96, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018. She was born December 8th, 1921 in Magness, Arkansas. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, sewing, and time spent with her family and especially her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Effie and Henry Clay Herndon, her husband, Edward Leroy Graveline, three brothers, Louis Herndon, Chester Herndon, and Glen Herndon, two sisters, Evelyn and Rosie, a daughter, Evelyn Graveline, and three grandchildren, Billy Joe Graveline, Chester Lynn Graveline, and Gina Henderson. She is survived by a daughter, Marie Melton and a son, Billy Graveline, five grandchildren, Martin Berman, Allen Brucher, Lisa Dacus, William Graveline, Rhonda Mattox, and several great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Ms. Vernie to the Dementia Research Foundation.
