Velma Lee Keeling, 89, entered into rest on August 29, 2021. She was born on January 24, 1932, in Blytheville, AR to Paul and Mary Ford.
Velma was a lifelong Pentecostal and a member of the First Apostolic Church of Concord for over sixteen years. She was also a very hard worker and enjoyed her time as a CNA at nursing homes. During her free time, she loved to work in her vegetable garden. Velma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by those that loved her.
She is reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Lincoln Keeling; parents, Paul Dixon Ford and Mary Violet (Glover) Ford; brothers, Ronnie Eugene Ford and Paul Edward Ford; son-in-law, Jimmy Dunavin; and grandson, Timothy Baker. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Dunavin, Brenda Robertson (Andy), and Nola Goodwin (John); son, Dwight Keeling (Lovetta); sisters, Norma Jean Mathis and Sherry Baker (Larry); as well as eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at Willis Funeral Service. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Willis Funeral Service. Interment will follow funeral service at Oak Grove Cemetery.
