Vaughn Moody, 82, passed away June 5, 2016. He was born November 14, 1933 in Batesville, Arkansas to Joseph Moody and Maggie (Smith) Moody. He worked as a shipping and receiving clerk and forklift operator for General Motors. He was of the Church of Christ faith and attended the Harrison Street Church of Christ in Batesville and the Highway 5. North Church of Christ in Mountain View. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Maggie Moody; his first wife Betty Moody; and his sister Ruby Dale. He is survived by his second wife Betty Moody; three sons: Steven Vaughn Moody, Terry Gene Moody, Joseph Thomas Moody; two brothers Merlice Moody and Lavaughn Moody; one sister Ida Lee; one step-son; two step-daughters; three grandchildren: Dustin Alexander Moody, April Lanae Ward, Kristy Renae Moody; 5 step-grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be Wednesday June 8th from 9:00 - 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM both at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Tom German and Bro. Bob Womack officiating. Interment will follow at the Blue Springs Cemetery in Newark, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Vaughn Moody's name to the church of your choice.
