Ute Ella Sias, 76, of Batesville, AR passed away Friday July 12, 2019. Ute was born in Wurtzburg, Germany in 1941. Ute spent her teenage years doing all she could to educate herself after loosing her parents and grandparents to the horrors of Auschwitz and being separated from her sister and brother during WWII. Ute married an American soldier and came to the US. She spent most of her adult life in California before recently coming to Arkansas. Ute is preceded in death by her adoptive mother Martha Wahler, and her sister Alice and brother Manfred (Having been re-acquainted some 50 years after the war). Ute is survived by her daughter Gina Carter and a very special friend of their family Cheryl Flood. Arrangements are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville.
