Terry Clay Smart, 66, passed away on December 5, 2023. He was born in Batesville, AR, on March 13, 1957, to Eddie Clay Smart and Vivian (Henley) Smart.

Terry was outgoing, kind, and caring. He was the type of person to go out of his way to help others and would do anything for those he loved. Terry was also very hardworking and retired from Future Fuel after 40 years of working there. In his free time, Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outside, watching sports on TV (especially the Razorbacks), and taking trips to Memphis to watch the greyhound races. But most of all, Terry loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Vickey Smart of Batesville, AR; daughter, Tammy Hillis (Bartley) of Batesville, AR; sister, Judy Mullens of Newark, AR; and grandchildren, Kaitlynn Hickman (Josh), Cody Holland, Carson Hillis, and Caden Hillis.

A visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Bartley Hillis, will follow visitation at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
