Teddy L. Anderson Purcelley was born in Evening Shade, Arkansas on 1/20/1933 to Ted M. and Dorothy Anderson.  Teddy later moved to Batesville, Arkansas where she graduated from high school in 1949 and attended Arkansas College, now Lyon College, graduating in 1952 with a bachelor's degree in education. Later that year she married George D. Purcelley, Jr at the First Baptist Church in Batesville.  She and George would travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas for George to finish a degree and then move on to Colorado in the mid-1950's to begin her life as a teacher in the Jefferson County school system. She would teach in Jefferson County for over 30 years, touching many young lives with her caring, disciplined style of teaching.  Teddy is survived by her sons Greg and Andy and their families. George preceded her in death in 2016.  Teddy passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022 with her family around her.  In leu of flowers, please send contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Lyon College, or the University of Northern Colorado.
