Obituary

Teddie Levern Heyde, 75, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, in Batesville, AR. He was born on September 16, 1948, in Cord, AR, to the late Alfred Heyde and Mary (Dickey) Heyde. Teddie was a graduate of Lyon College in 1972. He enjoyed collecting old coins and liked children. He especially loved riding around and running errands with his grandkids and taking them to the store. Teddie was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those that loved him.

Teddie is survived by his son, James "Andy" Hill (Jennifer); one daughter; brother, Fred Heyde; niece, Heather Sullivan; nephew, Heath Heyde; grandkids, Sydney Hill, Starla Cruz, Emily Smith, William Hill, Hunter Caddy, Noah Caddy, and Koda Hill; great-grandkids, Spencer Smith, Blakely Smith, and Mateo Cruz; and several extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mary Heyde; wife, Freda Heyde; and several uncles.

There will be a visitation held at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, starting at 1 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Larron McClure, will begin at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Sulphur Rock Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are William Hill, Isaac Smith, Daniel Cruz, Greg Hagler, Hershel Cunnigham, and Tony Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Caddy, Noah Caddy, Spencer Smith, Koda Hill, and Mateo Cruz.
