Stephen Andrew Gilbert, 38, passed away on April 30, 2023. He was born in Pocahontas, AR, on June 29, 1984, to Marvin R. Gilbert and Phyllis (Tucsnak) Gilbert. Stephen enjoyed riding motorcycles and going to air shows. He was also a big jokester. Stephen was a bail bondsman who served Independence County for over thirteen years. Stephen used his job to do what he was best at, helping people. He never turned his back on a friend and was always there for anyone in their time of need. He was an all-around good person and always made a positive impression on people. Above all else, he loved spending time with his boys, including going to Tomahawk Chop and riding four-wheelers.

Stephen is survived by his parents; wife, Sarah Ramsey; sons, Austin Gilbert, Holden Ramsey, and Ian Talley; daughter, Lillian Talley; brother, Robert Gilbert; grandmother, Phyllis Tucsnak; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Tucsnak; paternal grandparents, Andrew and Pauline Gilbert; aunts, Terry Tucsnak and Barbara Gilbert; and uncles, Joey Tucsnak, George Luster, and Edward Gilbert.

There will be a Visitation at Smithville Community Center (94 Lawrence 115 Smithville, AR 72466) on Thursday, May 4, 2023 starting at 5PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 7PM.
