IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sherri Diane
Traw
September 30, 1957 – May 13, 2025
Sherri Diane (Lee) Traw of Drasco, AR, died on Tuesday May 13, 2025, at the age of 67. Sherri was born on September 30, 1957, in Batesville, AR, to the late Arlis Lee Sr. and Carole June (Lewis) Lee. Sherri was of Christian faith and worship as a Seventh-day Adventist. Sherri was compassionate, caring, and very strong-willed. This served her well as she would spend over 20 years teaching preschoolers, and teaching preschool teachers. Sherri earned her bachelor's degree in education at Lyon College and went on to earn her master's degree in education at Torro University. Sherri had many hobbies and interests other than her passion to teach and be around children. Sherri also enjoyed animals, music, and genealogy, and she loved the lake. But out of all her passions and hobbies, nothing meant more to her than being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be dearly missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.
Sherri is preceded in death by both of her parents; her brother, Arlis Lee Jr.; her infant sister, Judy Carole Lee; and her son, Perry James Ryan Traw. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 47 years, Perry Traw; her daughters, Ashley Stephens (Russel) and Miranda Traw; her sisters, Deborah McCluskey (Billy), Hope Candler (Toby), Janice Lee, and Pamela Biggers (Lonnie); her grandson, Raylan Stephens; her beloved nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.
Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. There will be a graveside service at Egner Cemetery in Salado on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, at 2 PM. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeremy Hughes, Zach Webb, Arlis Lee III, Brad Webb, Peyton England, Jacob England, Aydn Furrow, and Billy Furrow.
