Shelby Hughes 76, of Batesville passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 in Batesville. She was born October 21, 1938, to Ellis King and Junia Thompson. Shelby enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping. Survivors include her husband, Ocee Hughes Sr. of Batesville, two sons; Woody Hughes, of Batesville, and Ocee Hughes Jr., of Batesville, one daughter, Sonya Owens, of Wisconsin, two sisters; Geneva Emerson, of Smithville, and Martha Boyd, of Poughkeepsie, three grandchildren; Jared Hughes, Daniel Hughes, and Ciana Hughes. She is preceded in death by her parents, her two daughters Sandra Hughes, and Rebekah Hughes, her brother Gary King, and her sister Margie Emerson. Visitation will be held Tuesday August 11, from 6:00 P.M-8:00 P.M. at Willis Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday August 12, at 2:00 P.M. at Willis Funeral Home Chapel, with Edward Williford officiating. Interment will be held at New Hope Cemetery in Bethesda, Arkansas. Pallbearers include Cary Jayroe, Rodney Jayroe, Boyd Kirker, Logan Huckabee, Jim Birkhead, Charley Treadway, and Johnathan Abbott. Honorary Pallbearers include Woody Hughes, Wesley Wren, and Abbie Treadway.
