Shane Aaron Younger, 36, of Mountain View passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 in Batesville. He was born May 20, 1977 in La Crosse, WI to Stephen Bruce Younger and Eileen Vanek Younger. He worked in logging and enjoyed life to the fullest. Survivors include one son, Cole Younger of Lincoln, NE; two sisters, Mindi Younger of Mountain View and Callie Reynolds of Jonesboro; two grandmothers, Dorothy Gayler of Mountain View and Verna Vanek of Lincoln, NE; one niece, Jenica Reynolds of Norfork; one nephew, Alex Reynolds of Jonesboro and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Philip Younger, two grandfathers, Joe Younger and Alden Vanek and one uncle, Bob Younger Services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the St. James United Methodist Church with David Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Joy Cemetery at Duggan. Pallbearers are Ricky Canard, Michael Clark, Jason Younger, Randy Rorie, Scott Vickers, and Jody Davis. Honorary Pallbearers are Allen Oden, Tommy Welch, and John Partee. Visitation is Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to service time at the church.
