Rose Marie Dortmundt, 64, of Locust Grove, passed away Tue. Feb. 5, 2019. She was born July 7, 1954 in Hopewell, Virginia to Archie Hendrick Dortmundt and Lillian Elizabeth (Wade) Dortmundt. She attended the Concord Senior Center. She was a Eastern Star of the Batesville Chapter. Though born with cerebral palsy and physically challenged, Rose earned her BS in social work and taught independent living to physically and mentally challenged clients for 28 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents, Miriam and "Tubby" Gray. sisters, Nora Cantrell, Naomi Bratton (Joe); foster sisters, Marylynn Copeland and Ann Jones; foster brother, George Gray and family; Nephews, James Perkinson, Jonathan Perkinson, Mark Cantrell (Heather), Norman Ray Cantrell (Iris).
