IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rose Marie
(Cruthis) Kostas
December 25, 1936 – September 23, 2025
Rose Marie (Cruthis) Kostas, age 88, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, at White River Medical Center.
Rose was born on December 25, 1936, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to the late Lloyd Nathan Cruthis and Ottilie Mary (Ideker) Cruthis. She later made Batesville her lifelong home. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing and proudly served as a registered nurse for many years, dedicating her career to caring for others.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Fred Kostas; along with her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
Rose is survived by her son, Mark Kostas, and her grandson, Kevin Kostas, both of Batesville, Arkansas; her daughter, Michelle Kostas, and granddaughter, Tori Lynn Brunk (Brennen), both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister, Irene E. Cruthis of Stuttgart, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Rose has many passions. She loved watching westerns, cooking for her family, fishing, and working crossword puzzles. With her sense of humor, she often joked that Willie Nelson was her "boyfriend." Above all, she treasured her role as a grandmother.
She was of Baptist faith and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, cousin, and friend.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
