Rick Meilke, 65, of Batesville passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 in Batesville. He was born November 25, 1947 in Harrisburg to Kenneth Allen Meilke and Martha Myrtle Burton Meilke. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, AARP and the Elks Lodge while in CA. Rick was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Doug Meilke and step father, Pearl Mathis. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Judy Meilke of the home; two sons, Michael Meilke of Batesville, Rex Shelton and wife Carolyn of Newark; three daughters, Stephanie Hix and husband Jody of Batesville, Doree Printz and husband Ted of Winton, CA, Margie Morrison and husband Mike of Mitchellville, IA; step mother, Flossie Meilke of Harrisburg; three brothers, Tony Mathis of Batesville, Carl Meilke of Harrisburg, Kenny Meilke of Paragould; two sisters, Mary Brack of Batesville and Roxanne Yeargain of Harrisburg; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Services are Thursday, May 30, 2013 ,2:00 P.M. at Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Paul Peters officiating. Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brandon Mathis, Eric Mathis, Jody Hix, Wyatt Hix, Cole Hix and Ron Byers. Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Sharp, Wilson Holman, Mark Morrison, Jesse Cossey and Michael Shelton Visitation is 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
