Richard Joseph McNulty, 96, of Hutchinson Mountain passed away February 28, 2019. He was born in Bigelow, AR August 12, 1922 to Bernard McNulty and Anna (Miller) McNulty. He was Catholic and served his country honorably in WWII. PFC McNulty fought bravely at Omaha Beach, Normandy on D-Day in 1944, the Battle of the Bulge through to the Battle of Remagen Bridge (the last bridge into Germany). He was awarded 5 Bronze Stars during his service to our country. The family wants to thank all the men, women, and their families, that serve and have served in the US Military, the cost of freedom weighs heavy on their hearts. He is survived by his wife, Nadine Hammett McNulty; daughters, Lea Barber (Robert) of Hutchinson Mountain, Judy Williams (Terry) of Guy; grandsons, Stacey Williams, Heath Williams (Amber), Nick Barber (Alisha), Jake Barber (Syndi); great grandsons Hunter, Dyson, Lucas, and Jaxson; and a great great granddaughter Everliegh. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Gene McNulty; brothers Vincent, Leo, and Patrick McNulty and sisters Marie Townes, Bertha Miller, and Rosetta Lipsmeyer.

Pallbearers will be:  Stacey Williams, Heath Williams, Hunter Williams, Nick Barber, Jake Barber, and Brad Daniels. Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Eddie Metcalf, David Collins, Brad Daniels, Wesley Tucker, Jeremy Loggins, Jody Loggins, and Bill Scroggins. The family would like to thank everyone at Eagle Mountain Assisted Living for their sincere compassion and care. Funeral Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. Visitation will be held there Monday March 4, 2019 from 5-7 PM and there will be a graveside service Tuesday March 5, 2019 at 2PM at Palestine Cemetery on Hutchinson Mountain.
