Rex Ray Winkle, 88, passed away October 13th, 2016. He was born August 18, 1928 to Wesley Winkle and Effie Winkle. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He liked to hunt and fish, and enjoyed his rock collection. He was preceded in death by his parents Wesley and Effie Winkle; one sister Jimmie Reding; one brother Dwine Winkle; and one son Johnny Winkle. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mildred Winkle; two sons Terry Winkle and Ricky Winkle; one daughter Loretta Townsend; one brother Harold Winkle; two sisters Billie Jean Sprague and Sue Strait; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, October 16th from 6-8 PM and the funeral service will be Monday, October 17th at 10 AM both at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at the New Hope Cemetery in Bethesda.
