Ray Clinton Carter, 75, passed away on June 7, 2026, in Batesville, AR. He was born on April 21, 1951, in Newport, AR, to the late J.C. Carter and Ludeane (Osborne) Carter. Ray was a hard worker and selfless, always caring for everyone else. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps. Above all else, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those blessed to know him.

Ray is survived by his wife, Debbie (Leonard) Carter; son, Clint Carter; daughter, Tina Franks; grandchildren, Corey Carter Jr., Kendra Carter, Jabron Carter, Dakota Franks, Darrin Franks, Jalise Stewart, and Dante Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Javon Stewart and Oakley Mae Cooper. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Corey Carter.
