Ralph Wyatt Taylor, of Batesville passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014 in Batesville at the age of 82. He was born July 16, 1932 in Rosie to John Taylor and Cora Bell James Taylor. He served in the Navy for 11 years where he fought in the Korean war, and later transferred to the Air Force where he retired with 24 years total service. His second career was as a California State Correctional Peace Officer, from which he also retired. Ralph was a very devoted husband and father. He loved spending time with his family and traveling with them on Summer vacations. Survivors include his son, Jason Taylor of Batesville; his daughter, Teri Taylor of Scotts Valley, CA; his granddaughter, Natalie Bautista of Scotts Valley, CA and several cousins in the Batesville and Oil Trough area. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna Taylor; his sister, Sylvia Nell and his brother J.B. Taylor. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Wyatt Cemetery in Rosie. Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Service of Batesville www.willisfs.com
