Paul "Pete" Perin Bangs, 92, passed away Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018. He was born October 31st, 1925. He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, and time spent with his family, his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Ruth Bangs; and his son, Philip Bangs; and five siblings, Gene Bangs, Billy Joe Bangs, Broncho Fortune, Hester King, and Avis Mitchell. He is survived by wife of 74 years, Gracie Bangs; his two daughters, Linda Woodard and her husband Edward, and Juanita Cothrine and her husband Joe; one brother, Jimmy Bangs; five grandsons, Chris Dunegan, Joshua Woodard, Jonathan Woodard, Dustin Bangs, and Deriek Bangs; six great-grandchildren, Evan, Bailey, Jordan, Jaycie, Gunner, and Makaylyn; one great-great grandson, Gavin; and other grandchildren, Jonathan, Derric, Dinysha, Hannah, Marcus, Leslie, Victor, and Angela. Visitation will be Saturday, January 27th from 10-11 AM with the funeral service beginning at 11:30 AM both at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at the Marcella Cemetery.
