Patricia Allene (Pursselley) Ison died on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the age of 82. Patricia lived in Columbus, GA for more than 60 years before recently moving to Mt. View, AR, to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was born on February 25, 1942, in Wichita, KS, to the late Glenn Franklin Pursselley and Minnie Allene (Cobb) Pursselley. She was of Christian faith and served the Lord as a member at Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church in Columbus, GA. Patricia and her family traveled a lot in her youth. Her father was in the United States Air Force, and they lived in many different places. Her favorite place that they lived was Chateauroux, France. Some of her hobbies included reading (she loved collecting books and reading), and watching game shows, westerns, and sports. But more than anything, she loved her family. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Patricia will be deeply missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.

Patricia is reunited in Heaven with her parents, and her husband of 51 years, Walter Stanley Ison. She is survived by her daughter, Marcell "Marcie Ison" Phillips (Keith), of Mt. View, AR; her two sisters, Cynthia Atkins, of Nashville, TN, and Glennys "Rusti" Storch, of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, William Walter Phillips and his fiancé, Allison Lough, of Denver, CO, and Ashley Renee Phillips and her fiancé, Michael Hansen, of Columbus, GA; her two great-grandchildren, Tyler Cay Gongora, of Waco, TX, and Allissa Marie Phillips, of Raeford, NC; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends; and her beloved church family at Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.
