Obituary

Pat Hill as we knew her at Boonsboro High School in the suburbs of Lynchburg, Virginia was a remarkable and talented classmate. She was born on April 29, 1944 and died on May 3, 2016 in Batesville, Arkansas. In high school she was consistently the best academic student in our Class of '62. She graduated as the class valedictorian. Pat was a popular and well-rounded person who served as senior class president, Beta Club president during her senior year, head cheerleader during her junior year, D.A.R. Good Citizen Award winner in her senior year. She was always a contributor to academic and school activities by serving on the yearbook/annual staff, Latin Club, co-editor of the Spider Web (school newsletter) staff, Library Club and Glee Club. After graduation from Boonsboro High School, she earned a Bachelor's Degree as a Registered Nurse at the Medical College of Virginia. This was her goals and she had a very promising future. It is understood that after several moves involving family decisions she lived out her final years in Arkansas. She served as a regional director of home health care for the northern region of Arkansas while employed for a governmental social/medical services agency. Her final years were spent in Batesville, Arkansas where she experienced some health concerns that restricted her to some extent. Her classmates and friends at Boonsboro High School are truly saddened by the passing of Pat. She was loved and respected by all. We miss her and know that she deserves to experience eternal peace. Submitted by Chris Sieverdes and Anne Howard Smith, Class of '62
