Odene Mae Clanton, 83, of Hutchinson Mountain passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 in Batesville. She was born July 5, 1930 in Jamestown to Yancey Barber and Ada Lamons Barber. She was a factory worker and a member of the Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ. Odene enjoyed gardening, quilting, her grandchildren, bingo and casinos. Survivors include five daughters, Patsy White of AL, Valerie Lewis of TN, Debra Ballard of NC, Ellen Clanton of Melbourne and Regina Clanton of Floral; eighteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, four brothers, and two daughters, Rhonda Andrews and Carol Maxine Eady. Services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Palestine Cemetery at Hutchinson Mountain. Pallbearers are Aaron Kelley, Adam Kelley, Steven Clanton, and Bruce Barber. Visitation is Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
