IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Norris Wayne
Guynes
February 6, 1939 – February 21, 2024
Norris Wayne Guynes, of Rosie, entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 6, 1939, in Moro, AR, to the late Carter Guynes and Dorothy Marie (Gray) Guynes. Norris was of Christian faith and worshiped the Lord by the way he lived his life but also as a member at Salado Baptist Church, where he served the Lord and the church as a deacon for several decades. Norris was a very hard worker. He worked hard all his life and even after retirement he constantly stayed busy. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed reading his bible and watching Walker Texas Ranger. Norris was a man of strong faith, a wonderful provider for his family, and a simple man. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be dearly missed and forever loved by those who were blessed to know him.
Norris is preceded in death by both of his parents; his sister, Verna Kelly; and his son-in-law, Kenny Tosh. He is survived by the love of his life for more than 66 years, his wife, Margie (Reynolds) Guynes; his 3 sons, Richard Guynes (Marilyn), David Guynes, and Donnie Guynes; his daughter, Susie Tosh; his 3 sisters, Lois Partee, Virginia Simpson, and Linda Webb (Royce); 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. There will be a graveside service, officiated by Bro. Barrett Beyer, at Maple Springs Cemetery in Rosie, AR, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10 a.m. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Richard Guynes, David Guynes, Donnie Guynes, Alan Guynes, Brandon Guynes, and Clint Martin. The family would like to recognize Ron Hudson and the members of Salado Baptist Church as honorary pallbearers.
