Mildred Lavern Hughes, 89, of Batesville passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in Batesville. She was born March 17, 1925 to Edward Owen Dixon and Goldie Sims Dixon. She was a homemaker and attended Believer's Community Church. Mildred loved her dog- Misty Rose, dancing, playing cards, canning and her family. Survivors include one son, Roger Dale Hughes of Batesville; two daughters, Joyce Darlene Baker and her husband, Mike, of Jackson, MO and Debbie Jean McKay of Batesville; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Junior Hoyt Hughes and two brothers, Herman Richardson and Edward Gene Dixon. Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2014 in the Community Room at the Citizen's Bank Airport branch with David Insell officiating. There will be a private interment at a later date.
