Melva C. James 72, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 at her home. She was born Sept. 11, 1940 in Batesville to Carl Anderson and Virgie Cook Anderson. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles "Sonny" James and two sisters, Bonnie Stewart and Vera Smith. Survivors include one son, Steven James of Batesville, one grandson, Zachery James and one brother, Bobby Anderson of Batesville. Services will be Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in the Alderbrook Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jim Goodman, Billy Cowan, Ron Pelletier, Shannon Smith, W. C. Evans and Mike Wolford. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. till service time.
