Maxine Martinez Thompson McPherson, passed away August 24, 2015, at a nursing home in Searcy. She was born in Bear Canon, Colorado on April 26, 1932. She was born to Filberto Martinez and Isabelle Medina Martinez. She is survived by her husband, James Ray McPherson, one brother, Richard Joseph Martinez, of Aurora, Colorado, one sister Margaret Martinez Fear, of Lacrosse, Kansas, three children, Carl Edward Thompson Jr, of Puyallup, Washington, David Wayne Thompson, of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Kathleen Thompson Park, of Burt, Michigan, three step children, James Michael McPherson, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Suzanne Louise McPherson and Jonathon Bruce McPherson of Canon City, Colorado, two special friends, Anita and Sharon Clarke of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Irene Martinez Gunning and two brothers, Gilbert Martinez and George Martinez. Memorial service will be held Saturday August 29, 2015 at 1:00 P.M., at Willis Funeral Chapel.
