Matthew Lee Williams, 25, of Batesville passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in Batesville. He was born October 7, 1988 to Randy Williams and Debbie Bledsoe Williams. Matthew graduated from ASU with a B.A. in Communications. He was a substitute teacher at Cedar Ridge High School, a member of Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church where he taught a Wednesday night class. In the words of a friend, Misty St. John Sturges, Matthew is described as this, Little brother. Overcomer. Best friend. Faithful. Loved God. Loved his wife, nieces and family. Indescribable strength. Followed God and his convictions. Sports fanatic. Loved southern gospel. Dreamed big. Humble. Loved the Razorbacks. Happiest at any kind of sports event. Redeemed. Not defined by his limitations. Surpassed all expectations. Big heart. Loving. Used by God. Loved by many. Left an impression on all who met him. Unforgettable. Shared his faith. Trustworthy. Immediate and life-lasting bond. Far-reaching testimony. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Williams of the home; his father and step mother, Randy and Paula Williams of Oil Trough; his mother, Debbie Hall of Maple Springs; one sister, April Williams of Maple Springs; one step brother, Jacob Cline of Freeport, IL; three step sisters, Stefanie Long, Jenna Trousdale, and Courtney Cline all of Jonesboro; his grandfather, Wayne Bledsoe of Maple Springs; his grandmother, Sue Shaver of Batesville; two nieces, Bailey Williams and Jaidyn Anderson; three nephews, Rory Long, Micah Long,and Gaige Cline. He was preceded in death by his granny, Mary Lee Bledsoe; grandma, Ruth Chambliss; grandfather, Lee Roy Williams and grandfather, Troy Shaver. Services are 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Curt Howard and Bro. Earl Stoner officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian Martin, Matt Swaim, Steven Young, Jared Cook, Jason Connor, and Paul Sturges. Visitation is Saturday, April 5, 2014, 12:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
