Mary Ida Sue Wilson (Purdy) passed away on 29 May 2023 at the Springs Nursing Home in Batesville, Arkansas.  She was born on February 4, 1949, in Manila, Arkansas.  Her parents were Earnie Wilson and Opal (Whitmire) Wilson.  She was the youngest child of 3 brothers and 3 sisters; Lura Lucille Ketchum, Alfred Gene Wilson, George Lyman Wilson, Eunithia Boone, Larry Bland Wilson, and Sue. Her many nephews and nieces and cousins live all over the USA.

Sue was raised in Rockford, Illinois, and lived most of her life in Batesville, Arkansas.  Sue was a member of the Eastview Baptist Church In Rockford and she worked at the hospital as a Respiratory Tech and a cashier for Jewel Food stores. In Batesville, she worked as a medical tech and for the Trading Post with her husband Brad Purdy.  She loved going to the lake and later in life, she enjoyed her many friends at the local VFW who have been loyal and supportive.  Thank you to all her friends in Batesville.

Burial of her ashes will be near her Mother and Father in Strawberry, Arkansas.
